Residency #6 @ Prachtwerk, Berlin – with Nicolas Bamberger

Thank you to everyone who came to the last Residency with Fabian Simon!

I’ve got Residency #6 on Monday, June 12th (the 2nd last residency!) with on of my favourite pianists, Nicolas Bamberger from Neuchätel, Switzerland. He’s only been in Berlin 6 months, but he has been very active in the local jazz scene since his arrival. He’ll be playing his set with Andi Haberl on drums. Should be a powerful duo. Can’t wait for it!

I’ll be joined once again with Nils Ostendorf on trumpet/keys, Andi Haberl on drums, Pete Petelle on percussion, and Marlène Colle on guest vocals.

Hope to see you on the 12th!

Doors at 7pm, show will start with Nicolas at 8pm, us at 9pm, over by 10pm! €7 at the door.

Residency #4 with Evelinn Trouble (CH)

Hello everyone,

Thanks to all who came to #3 with Charlotte Brandi!

I’m happy to announce that the Swiss singer from Zurich Evelinn Trouble will be joining me on Monday, March 20th. Björn Magnusson will be joining her as well for her set. (We had to change the show from the 27th to the 20th!). You can read some more about her here:

Two figures emerging from the Zurich Underground Scene combine their voices in Berlin.

“Evelinn Trouble; voice, guitar // Björn Magnusson; voice, guitar
Trouble started in Zurich, ten years ago, with her self-released debut “Arbitrary Act”. Since criss crossing her way from Zurich to London to Berlin, in bands and theatre productions, she has left behind a trail of chaos and 4 Albums. A body of work like a testimony of a soul in search. Forceful and fragile at the same time, her music has seen many places and combines seemingly incompatible genres into one. In Trouble’s world, a ballad can sound like war song and the other way around.
For this evening Trouble will combine voices with Björn Magnusson. Magnusson is songwriter and producer formerly known as Great Black Waters. He has released a wide array of music ranging from Detroit techno to fragile psychedelia with many different projects and names. His latest release “Almost Transparent Blue” is his third solo-record.”

I’ll be joined by Nils Ostendorf (Trumpet/Keyboards) and Andi Haberl (Drums).

The show will start at 8 sharp, done by 10pm. €7 at the door. Doors at 7pm.

We would love to see you!
