Thanks to all who came to #3 with Charlotte Brandi!
I’m happy to announce that the Swiss singer from Zurich Evelinn Trouble will be joining me on Monday, March 20th. Björn Magnusson will be joining her as well for her set. (We had to change the show from the 27th to the 20th!). You can read some more about her here:
FEAT. BJÖRN MAGNUSSON
Two figures emerging from the Zurich Underground Scene combine their voices in Berlin.
“Evelinn Trouble; voice, guitar // Björn Magnusson; voice, guitar
Trouble started in Zurich, ten years ago, with her self-released debut “Arbitrary Act”. Since criss crossing her way from Zurich to London to Berlin, in bands and theatre productions, she has left behind a trail of chaos and 4 Albums. A body of work like a testimony of a soul in search. Forceful and fragile at the same time, her music has seen many places and combines seemingly incompatible genres into one. In Trouble’s world, a ballad can sound like war song and the other way around.
For this evening Trouble will combine voices with Björn Magnusson. Magnusson is songwriter and producer formerly known as Great Black Waters. He has released a wide array of music ranging from Detroit techno to fragile psychedelia with many different projects and names. His latest release “Almost Transparent Blue” is his third solo-record.”
I’ll be joined by Nils Ostendorf (Trumpet/Keyboards) and Andi Haberl (Drums).
The show will start at 8 sharp, done by 10pm. €7 at the door. Doors at 7pm.
We would love to see you!

I have Residency #3 coming up next Monday, Feb 27th at Prachtwerk here in Berlin. This time I’ll be joined by the lovely and talented Charlotte Brandi. Here’s a little write up about her:
Charlotte Brandi is the founding member of Berlins indie duo “Me And My Drummer” (Matze Pröllochs on drums) with which she released two critically acclaimed albums. With their single “You´re A Runner”, the duo received extensive play on radio stations across Europe in 2012 and made an unprecedented run through Europe’s indie scene with over 300 shows in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Prague, Oslo, Vienna, Bratislava, amongst many others.
The singer with a “voice like lavender, flames and varnish” (Spiegel Online) discovered the electric guitar two years ago and since then has not been able to get enough of it.
Charlotte Brandi’s solo music is reminiscent of the sounds of Leslie Feist, PJ Harvey and Kate Bush, and achored in her lyrical explorations of the fragility of desire and attitudes. Brandi seems to be asking repeatedly, if we can actually trust ourselves in our wishes, our dreams, our capabilities, and our actions. Her songs echo a long, arduous journey from subconsciousness into daylight.
Doors at 7:30pm.
Show starts at 8pm sharp. Over by 10pm
€7 at the door.

We’d love to see you!
